So we've all made tons of 7-hero builds in expectation of the update. Now that the update is finally here, I thought there should be a new thread on the actual outcomes of all those builds you came up with

What's worked, and what was disappointing?

Theres too many builds that work. 3 discords, Panic, Ineptitude, SoS + Soul Twisting is ridiculously easy.

However, I'm going to have a bit of fun now with trying to play the game, and trying to get survivor through vanquishes (since it resets if you fail) using nothing but core skills on all 8 party members ^^

The amount of fail is going to be hilarious. GW can stil be challenging if you simply dont roll the most powerful builds.

Meh, change the melees and one monk to 3 discord necros if you want to pwn more

Interupt mes- most of the build stays the same but the elite varies on the group size in the area
Dedicated healer monk

Quad agro in a vq....got taken care of quickly and no one dropped below 90% health.

3 discord Necros, 1 Offensive Spiritmaster, 1 Defensive Spiritmaster, 1 Water Snare ele and 1 Panic Mesmer. Ive been trying to die, hasnt happened.

I dont understand why people are still using discord. Single target damage is extremely meh when you have the damage output that 7 heroes allows

because discord + the additional hexes and spells like putrid bile do aoe as well as having a hella lot(20-30) minions while laughing and rolling your face across the keyboard. not to mention discord takes everything down in less than a second. oh and you still have about 4-5 skill slots per hero for utility and support.

So I did DoA HM and almost fell asleep, until Gloom where I lost because I forgot about 50% miss chance and didn't have asuran scan...

Me as R/W Barrage/SY/EBSoH
2x MM <- actually maintained 10/11 minions each most of the time, I was impressed.
1x SoS/SW/Rest rit <- 16 channeling for rape weapon
1x ST rit <-shelter is cool, other then that this build was just random stuff I threw together. Not that it was bad, but it was probably sub optimal.
1x Panic mesmer <- lol interrupts, wastrel's is also awesome damage.
1x OoP/DF/MoP Necro <- because sometimes, splinter weapon just isn't enough. Also OoP lets me hit well over 100 damage per shot with barrage.
1x Healing Burst monk <- Need at least 1 healer for the hardest area of the game, I think.

Started out in foundry, triple aggroed in the third room and still no one died. BTW: panic in there on all the enemies AND multiple allies along with the minions is funny is hell, everything just starts twitching like crazy.

3x sf eles, 1x bip touch ranger, 2x monks, me(necro), 1x paragon with "They're on fire".

Aggro'd everything in Foundry and it took a long time for me to die, perhaps 7 minutes or so in the third room. I probably wouldn't have if I hadn't taken a minion master build to test it out and had a mouse with me. BTW, I LOVE the 'y' key

will run:
- 3 para
- 1 orders
- 2 monks (ua/hb)
- sos rt
- sogm rit

I was just playing with this:

Me (VoS Dervish)
1 healer Monk
1 RoJ Monk
1 Minion Bomber
1 SoGM Rit
1 N/Rt healer
1 Panic Mesmer w/Blood support
1 Psychic Instability/Fragility Mesmer

...it works pretty awesome. I was doing Stygian Veil and only died because I suddenly lagged massively and rubberbanded halfway across the map and aggroed like three mobs, grrr.

I will definitely try out more combos tomorrow, though

this is fun.
